2025 Mobile Platform Fraud Prevention Assessment

Google commissioned Leviathan Security Group to evaluate fraud protection features on Android and iOS devices. The assessment focused on built-in fraud safeguards for both physical and digital security along with advanced fraud prevention measures. We performed a similar study in 2023 that examined scam and phishing protection.

In the current assessment, we tested four devices on the T-Mobile network: the Samsung Galaxy S24+, iPhone 16 Pro, Google Pixel 9 Pro, and Xiaomi 14 Ultra. Over the course of 30 days, we evaluated the devices' security features available to consumers.
